【摘要】:Thispracticemaybeusedtoestimatethepotentialforhumanexposuretopesticideresiduesthatmaybedislodgedfromresidentialfloorsurfacesbydermalcontact.Thesamplingdeviceemployedisdesignedtoapproximatelyreplicatethepressureappliedbya9kgchildcrawlingorwalkingonthefloor.Laboratorytestsandfieldstudieshaveshownthatthetransfercoefficientofthesamplingdeviceforcollectionofdriedpesticideresiduesfromnylonplushcarpetsistwotothreetimeshigherthanthatofadryhand(palmonly)pressedtentimesat7300Paoverthesameareaofcarpet(2,4,5).Thispracticehasbeenfoundsuitableforuseonplushandlevelloopcarpetsandvinylflooring(2,3).Thispracticedoesnotdescribeproceduresforevaluationofthesafetyoffloorsurfacesorthepotentialforhumanexposuretodislodgeablepesticideresidues.Itistheuser''sresponsibilitytoevaluatethedatacollectedbythispracticeandmakesuchdeterminationsinthelightofotheravailableinformation.1.1Thispracticecoversaprocedureforcollectionofdislodgeablepesticideresiduesfromindoorfloorsurfaces.1.2Thispracticeandthesamplingmethodologydescribedareapplicabletobarefloorsorcoveredfloorsurfaces,forexample,carpetingandvinylflooring.1.3ThispracticeandthesamplingmethodologydescribedareapplicabletoallpesticideslistedinPracticeD4861whetherapplieddirectlytothefloorsurfaceortransportedtherebymigrationwithintheroomortrackedinfromoutdoors.1.4Floorsurfacesforwhichthispracticehasbeensuccessfullyappliedincludenylonplushcarpeting,polypropylenelevel-loopcarpeting,andvinylflooring.1.5Sampleanalysiswillbedependentuponthenatureofthepesticidestargetedandisbeyondthescopeofthispractice;however,theanalyticalproceduresdiscussedinPracticeD4861areapplicabletothispractice.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortoitsuse.
