【摘要】:Thesettingspeedofheatsetprintinginksisimportantbecauseitinfluencestheefficiencyofthedryingprocess.Thistestmethodprovidesameansforcomparingthesettingofaheatsetinkdirectlyagainstastandardatthesameconditionsoftemperatureandexposuretime.Whilethemethoddoesnotdeterminethesettingspeedofaninkonaproductionpress,itisusefulforspecificationacceptancebetweenthesupplierandthecustomer.Thesettingspeedofaprintinginkdependsonanumberofvariablessuchasthesubstrateonwhichitisprinted,thefilmthicknessontheprint,thetemperatureoftheforcedair,therateofairflow,andthetimethattheprintissubjectedtoheat.Forthesereasons,itisimportanttoconductthetestsunderconditionsthatarecontrolledandasrealisticaspractical.1.1Thistestmethoddescribestheprocedurefordeterminingtherelativesettingspeedofheatsetinksusingatesterconsistingofaforcedhotairovenandprintdeliverysystem.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicabletoprintinginksintendedtobedriedbytheapplicationofheatandforwhichasuitablereferencestandardisavailable.1.3Althoughheatsetinksarenormallyprintedbytheoffsetprocess,thistestmethodspecifiesthedirectletterpressmodebecausethehigherinkfilmthicknessesobtainedtendtoamplifysubtledifferencesininksettingspeed.Printsarepreparedbyaflatbedprintingapparatususingaconstantdepthprintinggage.1.4Thistesterreadstemperatureandbeltspeedinnonmetricterms;therefore,instrumentsettingsinthistestmethodarestatedfirstinU.S.CustomaryUnits(inchpoundunitsofmeasurements).Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
