【摘要】:Fluidsandgreasesincontactwithencapsulatingcompoundsmayadverselymodifytheencapsulantpropertieswithresultingdamageorlossofprotectiontocomponentsinelectronicapplications.Thistestmethodprovidesameansformeasuringtheeffectoffluidsandgreasesonvariousencapsulants.Thistestmethodisintendedforuseinresearchandevaluation.1.1Thistestmethoddeterminestheresistanceofencapsulatingcompoundstofluidsorgreasesbymeasuringchangesinweight(Note1)andvolumeunderdefinedconditionsoftimeandtemperature.Note18212;ToprovideconsistencywiththeusageinotherASTMtestmethodsconcernedwithdeterminingthepropertiesofplasticmaterials,thetermsx201C;weightx201D;andx201C;weighx201D;areusedinthistestmethodalthoughtheunitsofmeasurementarethoseofmass.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.See9.1.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsarestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareforinformationonly.Note28212;ThereisnosimilarorequivalentIECstandard.

【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedtohelpassesstheaxiallockingstrengthoftheacetabularlinerinamodularshellwhensubjectedtoatensileloadingcondition.Additionalmeansofevaluatingthelockingmechanismsofmodularacetabulardevicesmaybeappropriatedependinguponthedesignofthedevice(thatis,lever-out,torsionalstrength,fatigue,andsoforth).Thistestmethodmaynotbeappropriateforallimplantapplications.Theuseriscautionedtoconsidertheappropriatenessofthemethodinviewofthematerialsanddesignbeingtestedandtheirpotentialapplication.Whilethistestmethodmaybeusedtomeasuretheforcerequiredtodisengagemodularacetabulardevices,comparisonofsuchdataforvariousdevicedesignsmusttakeintoconsiderationthesizeoftheimplantandthetypeoflockingmechanismevaluated.Thelocationofthelockingmechanismrelativetotheloadapplicationmaybedependentuponthesizeanddesignoftheacetabulardevice.Inaddition,thelockingmechanismitselfmayvarywithsize,particularlyifthedesigniscircumferentialinnature(forexample,largerdiameterimplantswouldhaveagreaterareaofacetabularshell/acetabularlinerinterfacethanasmalldiameterimplant).1.1Thistestmethodcoversastandardmethodologybywhichtomeasuretheattachmentstrengthbetweenthemodularacetabularshellandliner.Althoughthemethodologydescribeddoesnotreplicatephysiologicalloadingconditions,ithasbeendescribedasmeansofcomparingintegrityofvariouslockingmechanisms.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
