【摘要】:1.1TherequirementsofthisStandardapplytoGradesAandBacrylic-polymer-coated,silicone-polymer-coated,orvinyl-polymer-coatedelectricalsleevingthatconsistsofcloselywovenfabricmadefromglass(seeTable1formaterialsandratings)andintendedforuseinequipmentdesignedtobeinstalledandusedinaccordancewiththerulesoftheCanadianElectricalCode,PartI(CEC),orANSI/NFPA70,NationalElectricalCode(NEC).AproductforuseattemperaturesgreaterthanindicatedinClause1.2oradifferentpolymercoatingorfibremaybeacceptableprovidedthat(a)itmeetstheperformancetestsinthisStandard;and(b)long-termheat-agingtestsareconductedascoveredinUL746BorCAN/CSA-C22.2No0.17,usingdielectricstrengthasaprimarypropertyandflammabilityasasecondaryproperty.1.2Theserequirementsapplytocoatedelectricalsleevinghavingastandardtemperatureindexclassificationof105,130,155,180,200,220,and240鳦.1.3Theserequirementsapplytocoatedelectricalsleevingintendedforuseinconnectionwiththeinternalwiringofelectricaldevicesandapplianceslocatedindryordamplocationswhereitisnotfeasibletoemployastandardinsulatedconductor,suchasappliance-wiringmaterial,specificallyintendedforthepurpose.Coatedelectricalsleevingisintendedforinsulatingoneormoreuninsulatedorpartiallyinsulatedconductors,busbars,componentleads,orassembliesofelectricalcomponents.Coatedelectricalsleevingmaybeemployedinequipmentwhereitisnotsubjectedtorepeatedflexingorseveremechanicalstress.1.4Theserequirementsapplytooil-resistantcoatedelectricalsleevingintendedforoccasionalorintermittentcontactwithoil.1.5Theserequirementsdonotapplytounimpregnatedoruncoatedfabricsleeving,whichisgenerallynotconsideredacceptableforsole(functional)insulationbecauseoftheopeningsinherentintheweaveconstructionofthesleevingfabric.1.6Theserequirementsdonotapplytotubingextrudedwithreinforcement,extrudedelectricaltubing,ortubingintendedonlyformechanicalprotection,sincetheyarecoveredbyotherrequirements.1.7Theserequirementsdonotapplytocoatedelectricalsleevingwhenitisemployedasspliceinsulationinaninsulationsystemabove105鳦(ClassA)operation.ThisneweditionofANSI/UL1441,harmonizedwithCSA,includesthefollowingchangesinrequirements:1.TestMethodforVolumeResistivity,2.FlameTestEquipmentStandardization,3.RemovaloftheOptionofUsingASTMNo.2Oil,4.ClarificationofNumberofSamplestobetested,5.Product/PackageMarkingRequirements,6.SummaryofProductsCovered,7.TypeofAir-CirculatingOvenDefined.
