【摘要】:Thisclassificationsystemcoversunfilled,reinforcedandfilledmaterialssuitableforinjectionmoldingandextrusionusingISOmethods.Thesystemallowsfortheuseofpoly(phenylenesulfide)(PPS)plasticmaterialsthatarerecycled,reconstitutedrecycled-regrind,recoveredorreprocessed,orboth,providedthattherequirementsasstatedinthisspecificationaremet.Itistheresponsibilityofthesupplierandthebuyerofrecycled,reconstituted,recycled-regrind,recoveredorreprocessed,orboth,poly(phenylenesulfide)plasticmaterialstoensurecompliance(seeGuideD5033).Thepropertiesincludedinthisclassificationarethoserequiredtoidentifythecompositionscovered.TheremaybeotherrequirementsnecessarytoidentifyparticularcharacteristicsimportanttospecializedapplicationsthatmaybespecifiedbyusingthesuffixesasgiveninSection.Thisclassificationsystemandsubsequentlinecallout(specification)areintendedtoprovideameansofcallingoutplasticmaterialsusedinthefabricationofenditemsorparts.Itisnotintendedfortheselectionofmaterials.Materialselectionshouldbemadebythosehavingexpertiseintheplasticfieldaftercarefulconsiderationofthedesignandtheperformancerequiredofthepart,theenvironmenttowhichitwillbeexposed,thefabricationprocesstobeemployed,thecostsinvolved,andtheinherentpropertiesofthematerialotherthanthosecoveredbythisclassification.Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion,Section,ofthisclassificationsystem:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note1ThereisnoequivalentISOstandard.Note2ThelastpriorASTMstandardisSpecificationD4067,whichusesASTMtestmethods.
